The National Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA) will release on Wednesday (8) the balance of Brazilian agribusiness in 2021 and expectations for 2022.
A CNN had access to the part of the report that points to a record in the sector. From January to October this year, Brazilian agribusiness generated US$ 102.4 billion in exports, surpassing the previous record registered in 2018, of US$ 101.2 billion.
On the other hand, Brazilian producers faced an increase of more than 100% in fertilizer costs for soybeans and corn. The matter will be discussed at the press conference scheduled for Wednesday.
The CNA will also talk about expectations for 2022. Among the estimates are the bottlenecks for exports and the impact of the lower global supply of inputs, as many countries are focusing on domestic trade and reducing sales abroad.
On agricultural policies, the National Agriculture Confederation will present figures on the capital market and green finance, credit and rural insurance contracts and proposals to improve the business environment for rural producers.
Starting with the 2021 balance sheet, CNA will also disclose the impacts of the lack of containers for the logistics and infrastructure process and the regulatory frameworks for railways.
