Brazilian arrested after fake bomb threat at steakhouse in the US

A Brazilian was arrested in the city accused of threatening a bomb at a steakhouse in the state of Massachusetts, in the United States, on Friday (20). Identified as Eduardo Filho, the man left a suitcase at the Brazilian-style restaurant and later called the place saying that if someone moved the bag a bomb would explode, according to information from Barnstable city police.

The Brazilian steakhouse was cordoned off by local security forces until the arrival of the state police’s Bomb Squad. Upon inspection, it was found that there were no materials or explosives present in the object.

The Brazilian was located by the police on charges of terrorist threat and use of a fraudulent device. The local justice stipulated bail of 25 thousand dollars for the man to be released.
