Brazilian government launches offensive against racism in Spanish football

The Brazilian government issued an interministerial note to demand attitudes from the government of Spain, Fifa and La Liga after the most recent case of racism against Brazilian striker Vinícius Júnior.

Signed by the ministries of Racial Equality, Sports, Foreign Affairs, Justice and Public Security, Human Rights and Citizenship, the statement states that “the Brazilian government repudiates, in the strongest terms, the racist attacks that Brazilian athlete Vinícius Júnior has suffered repeatedly in Spain”.
