For the second year in a row, the Hotel Colline de France in Gramado (RS), is at the top of the Traveller’s Choice Awards 2022 , annual ranking by TripAdvisor. This time, after appearing in the first place in 2021, it appears in second, behind Tulemar Bungalows & Villas, in Costa Rica.
The list is based on the opinions of the users of the travel platform, which elects the best destinations and companies in the tourism sector. Colline is a recent hotel, opened in 2018, and has just 34 suites.
With a slogan of being “a little piece of Europe in Brazil”, the Colinne de France has exquisite decor, reminiscent of French decor – among the details are imperial-style furniture, all hand-carved and plated in 24-karat gold. Among the luxury amenities in the suites, L’occitane beauty products and the entire Trussardi/Trosseau 300-thread Egyptian cotton bedding line.
Colline is the only Brazilian in the list of 25 hotels and has hit luxury destinations in Greece, Switzerland or Maldives.
Lawn
With 36,000 inhabitants, about two hours from Porto Alegre, Gramado enchants visitors with tours and activities, such as parks, gardens, agrotourism itineraries, chocolate factories, museums, restaurants and shops.
During the winter months, and especially at Christmas, the city receives millions of tourists – that’s when the destination transforms into the biggest Christmas event in the country.
Gramado is also in a survey released this month by the Booking.com platform, carried out with travelers from different countries, which points out the most recommended destinations in the world for “destination weddings” in 2022.
The city of Rio Grande do Sul appears in seventh position and is the only Brazilian city in the ranking, which includes Paris, followed by Las Vegas, Gretna, Venice, Rome, London, Sydney, Cartagena and Edinburgh.
