The Brazilian Isabella Menin won this Tuesday (25) the 2022 edition of the Miss Grand International contest, winning an unprecedented crown for Brazil.
Through tears, Isabella was crowned by her predecessor – the 2021 edition winner Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien of Vietnam – during a ceremony held in Indonesia.
In her final answer, when asked what she would say to Russian President Vladimir Putin if she could convey a message to him about the invasion of Ukraine, Isabella stated that “we have to start thinking about what we can do, even if be small actions” in search of diplomacy and dialogue.
The new Miss Grand International was born into a family immersed in the world of beauty pageants. Her grandmother was elected the most beautiful woman in the city of Marília (SP). Her mother competed for the title of Miss Brazil International in 1990.
At age 14, Isabella moved to China and started working as a model. In 2016, she was named Miss Teen International.
The Brazilian graduated in Economics and, in 2022, at the age of 25, was elected Miss Grand Brazil.
