Brazilian Manu Buffara is elected the best female chef in Latin America in 2022

THE best female chef in Latin America this year is from Brazil: Manu Buffara name in command of restaurant manu in Curitibawas crowned with the distinction this Tuesday (20).

Recognition was given by Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants award that elects the best restaurants in Latin America.

In the announcement on social media, the chef celebrated the title and stressed that “to be recognized not only for my food but for my philosophy is an honor that I am proud to share with my family and the entire Manu team”.

With a career that spans 16 years in gastronomy, the chef has already name in Copenhagen – voted the best restaurant in the world for five years -, and in the trendy Alinea in Chicago.

In 2011, the professional opened her own house in the capital of Paraná, Manu, which helped put Curitiba on the gastronomic map.

“This is just the beginning for us, and we intend to use this platform and the power of female voices to elevate Curitiba on the world stage and show first-hand how community engagement around food can lead to a better quality of life for all. ”, pointed out the chef.
