Brazilian Music Award 2025: Check out this year’s nominees

The Brazilian Music Award revealed, on Wednesday night (9), the complete list of the nominees for the categories of the 32nd edition of the award. The ceremony featured an ode to the duo Chitãozinho and Xororó, who will be honored at this year’s awards, and took place at the Pietro Maria Bardi building, MASP’s new building in São Paulo.

The event was presented by actor Lázaro Ramos and featured voices of voices of the new generation of national music – Marina Sena, Jota, Agnes Nunes, Juliana Linhares, Fitti, Mari Jasca and Daíra – interpreting hits from the country duo, such as “Evidence”, “Hair” and “Fogo de Lenha”.

This was the first time the PMB held an event just to publicize the nominated artists. Five names appear in each of the 17 awards categories, which will take place on June 4 at the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theater.

The record holder of the 32nd edition is rapper Emicida, with four nominations: rap & trap artist, rap & trap launch (“It’s over, but it has…”) and audiovisual launch (“It’s over, but has…” and “Erasmo Esteves (Tijuca Maluca)”).
