Brazilian skydiver Giulianno Scotti, 42, died after colliding with another skydiver during a jump in Florida.
Police said they received a call from DeLand Municipal Airport near Orlando on Monday. The distress call said that a parachutist had suffered a forced landing.
Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, emergency units provided first aid to Scotti, who did not resist and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second parachutist was rescued and is recovering from minor injuries. His identity was not disclosed.

An autopsy will be carried out to determine the Brazilian's cause of death, according to information from the American police.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
