A Brazilian startup is revolutionizing the way companies, hospitals and condominiums deal with water consumption. With an innovative solution that combines technology, intelligent management and environmental awareness, the company has already managed to reduce consumption by more than one billion liters of water throughout Brazil.
The system, developed about seven years ago, uses sensors and transmitters installed at critical points of customer facilities, such as reservoirs, outdoor and bombs. These devices feed a web platform and a real -time application, allowing precise monitoring of water consumption.
Standardization and efficiency
One of the differentials of technology is the standardization of all points of consumption. “The taps will have their adequate flow, their proper time, their volume according to the type of sanitary hydro will also be adequate,” explains Camilo Torquato president of the startup. This means that a tap that previously closed in 15 seconds, for example, can close between 4 and 5 seconds, significantly optimizing water use.
The impact of this innovation is considerable, especially when it is considered that, according to data from the National Sanitation Information System, the volume of drinking water lost in supply operations in Brazil could supply the consumption of about 10 million people for at least 5 years.
Currently, the startup operates in more than 40 Brazilian cities, covering 9 different sectors, especially hospitals, hotels, supermarkets and condominiums. The results are impressive: “Today we deliver an average of 30% financial savings there for our customers, we can reach up to 75%, 80% of total economy,” says Torquato.
In addition to the financial economy and water resources, the startup also cares about environmental education. The company offers training and specific lectures on conscious consumption and sustainability, contributing not only to the reduction of water consumption, but also to the reduction of its customers’ carbon footprint.
