Brazilian who played at the Grammys highlights the strength of the internet to promote artists

The first job of guitarist Mateus Asato , 28 years old, was featured on the DVD “Chuva de Arroz”, by country singer Luan Santana, in 2015. Since then, the musician born in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, has traveled the world on tours with major stars of the song. A weight list, by the way, which includes singers Tori Kelly and Jesse J.

But it was with social networks that Mateus Asato managed to take his music to another level.

“Having the internet and your talent, that increases your exposure, your recognition”, he told in an interview with Popverso CNN.

“Perhaps without the internet, people wouldn’t recognize Mateus Asato as the boy who plays, makes videos, who has his songs”, he adds.

In addition to touring, this year Asato also stepped onto the stage of Grammy , the top music industry award in the United States. That’s because the Brazilian guitarist is part of the Silk Sonic project, formed by Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, which won four statuettes at the awards.
