THE Brazilian women’s team football team lost 2-1 to hosts Denmark, with a goal by the opponents in the final minute of the match, held on the afternoon of this Friday (24), at Parken Stadium, in the capital Copenhagen.
The friendly is the first of two games in Europe, which aim to prepare the team for the Women’s America’s Cup , from July 8 in Colombia. Next Tuesday (28), at 1:30 pm, Brazil faces Sweden, vice-leader of the FIFA world rankings, at Friends Arena, in the capital Stockholm.
Number nine in the FIFA world rankings, the team led by coach Pia Sundhage was surprised in the 16th minute, with a well-aimed kick from right-back Janni Thomsen, delivered from the edge of the area, which left goalkeeper Lorena sold.

In the 17th minute, it was the turn of Fê Palermo, who headed the crossbar after a corner. With so much insistence, Brazil reached the equalizer in the 41st minute, thanks to the talent of Debinha, who advanced on the right, escaped the marking and sent a left-handed bomb.
There was barely time to celebrate: in the final minute, Nadia Nadim dribbled Fê Palermo before crossing for Gejl to seal the Danish victory.
