Two high -hazardous criminals condemned by the Brazilian justice to penalties that add out 1,000 years Prison were arrested in Ribeiralta, Bolivia, during the safe border operation. The information was released last Saturday (29) by the Military Police of Rondônia.
According to the corporation, the pair had more than 10 open arrest warrants. One of the criminals was appointed as a leader of a gang specializing in truck theft in the states of Rondônia and Acre.
The vehicles were illegally taken to Bolivia, where they were sold, disassembled for the commercialization of parts or used as a bargaining currency in international drug trafficking.
After 10 years on the neighboring country, one of the suspects was located in Ribeiralta, where he lived under false identity and had double nationality. The second fugitive, born in Acre, was also considered of high danger and was inserted in Interpol’s red list.
Also according to the PM, the extradition of criminals to Brazil is underway. Both must comply with the penalties imposed by the Brazilian justice.
The action was carried out in conjunction with the Bolivia National Police and the Integrated Border Intelligence Center, as well as the support of the State Secretariat of Defense and Citizenship of Rondônia.
The safe border operation is still in progress with the objective of combating organized crime in the border region.
