Brazil’s oil production grows 2.2% in March, says ANP

Brazil produced 2.981 million barrels of Petroleum per day in March, an increase of 2.2% compared to the previous month and 4.8% compared to the same month in 2021, informed the regulator ANP this Wednesday (4).

The country also produced 134 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, an increase of 0.9% compared to February and 6.6% compared to the same month of the previous year.

The production in pre-salt in March it recorded a volume of 2.876 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, of which 2.267 million barrels/day of oil and 96.7 million cubic meters of natural gas, which corresponded to 75.2% of national production.

In the pre-salt, there was an increase of 1.2% compared to the previous month and an increase of 8.1% compared to March 2021.

In March, the Tupi field, in the Santos Basin pre-salt, was the largest producer of oil and natural gas, registering 906 million barrels of oil and 43 million cubic meters of natural gas/day.
