Breast milk stains on the dress, the new mother Chrissy Teigen conquers the fans: «Thank you for making it a normal fact»

Little Esti Maxine was born on January 13, even if the new parents Chrissy Teigen And John Legend they waited a few days before revealing gender and name. For the couple she is the fourth child after Luna, Miles and Jack, lost in 2020 due to a miscarriage.

A few weeks after giving birth, the model continues to keep the fans who followed her step by step throughout her pregnancy updated by posting new images that portray her today in all her renewed happiness.

One of the latest photos on Instagram, shows her wearing a delicate black slip dress, an oversized coral cardigan, suede heeled boots and a fedora.

But the detail that immediately caught the eye is the fact that the dress shows evident stains at the height of the breast, presumably due to leakage of breast milk.

The (very numerous) comments in which the followers recount their post-pregnancy experiences were not long in coming, in most of which the need not to be ashamed emerges, because similar “accidents” can happen when you become a mother.

“I am delighted that women now have the freedom to be able to talk about it and not hide,” wrote a fan. “The latte blobs add an extra layer of authenticity to it all,” said another. “I love that you’re normalizing these losses that we all have in the first few weeks after giving birth,” another person noted. “You wake up at night and say, ‘Is that pee? Is it milk? Or is it sweat?”: so many options for bodily fluids! Thanks for sharing,” joked some others. And there are also those who simply wrote: “That’s why I promise you eternal love.”

But why are breasts leaking milk?

Spontaneous milk leaks don’t happen to all mothers, but it is something that can occur in the first months of breastfeeding, when milk production has yet to be regularizedas specified on the de site La Leche League Italy.

If you notice milk leaks between feedings, it is advisable to use special ones disposable nursing pads to wear under the bra. Better choose them in cotton, avoiding to use those with the back coated with plastic as they prevent perspiration and irritate the nipples.

How to reduce breast milk leakage

Losses can be minimized by not skipping feeds and not lengthening the time intervals between one and the other too much. In the event that it is not possible to breastfeed the baby immediately when the milk emission reflex is felt, production can be temporarily blocked applying light pressure directly on the breast, for example by crossing the arms on the chest and pressing lightly.

To remedy the appearance of visible stains on clothingyou can finally opt for patterned shirts and dresses, more suitable for “masking” the phenomenon than plain-coloured fabrics. However, it is good to keep in mind that, over time, the losses will decrease or stop altogether, as the body learns to regulate milk production according to needs.
