Brega legend, singer Silvio Max dies at age 52

Maranhão singer Silvio Max, known for the songs “Eu Vou Pedir a Lua”, “Lamour” and “Cigana”, died at the age of 52, as a result of a heart attack, at his home in the city of Buriticupu, located around 460 kilometers from São Luís, last Saturday (30).

In a note of condolence, the city hall lamented the loss of the artist, who according to them “enchanted and inspired many people in the city”, in addition to having contributed to local culture.

“In this moment of deep sadness, we sympathize with family, friends and fans, praying to God to grant comfort and strength to face this irreparable loss”, says another part of the note.

Through a publication made on social media, the singer’s daughter also mourned the loss of the artist.

“You left leaving behind many tears, a lot of pain and a void in my heart that will never be filled. I will love you forever dad”, wrote Hadassa Souza.
