A 37-year-old man died last Thursday (14), after being attacked by a pitbull dog in Ribeirão Pires, in Greater São Paulo.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, the man was alone in a residence, working as a bricklayer, when the dog, which was trapped in an area of the property, got loose and attacked the victim. A neighbor noticed what happened and called the residents of the house, who went to the location and arrested the animal again.
The victim did not survive his injuries. When they arrived at the scene, after being called, the military police saw the man being treated by the Emergency Medical Care Service (Samu), which confirmed his death.
The case was registered as an accidental death at the Ribeirão Pires Police Station, which requested an expert examination, informed the SSP.
