Bridgerton 3, here’s when the new episodes arrive

There are those who consider the novel A man to conquer the most poetic of the Regency saga written by Julia Quinn (and published in Italy by Mondadori). It is the fourth set at home Bridgerton and concerns the adventurer Colin. Yes, the one for whom Penelope / Lady Whistledown has always had great affection (not to mention that she is madly in love with him). Nobody knows and she has never revealed it even to her best friend Eloise, the boy’s younger sister.

The novel was anticipated by Shonda Rhimes and thus becomes the third season of Netflix’s period series, Bridgerton. Those who have read the books know the story well, but those who have seen the previous installments know that Shondaland has mixed the cards on the table. First of all, he revealed the true identity of the gossip writer in the last episode of the first season. Then she made sure that the secret was discovered by Eloise by chance at the end of the second, to ensure that the third happened much earlier than in the novels.

In fact, over ten years pass through the pages since Colin (Luke Newton) left for the world and Penelope officially became a spinster, dedicated to her writings and now with a heart at peace: she will never marry the man of her dreams. Julia Quinn, however, ensures that upon her return Colin does not recognize her at all as the young woman, now blossomed, has become slimmer, sophisticated and elusive.

The actress who plays her – Nicola Coughlan – refused to follow any diet to adapt to the character (she’s certainly not the first, Jennifer Lawrence hasn’t lost a pound despite having to play a gaunt girl, wasted away in the hunger games, the Hunger Games). Here she is, then, in the first photos, with a wig and different makeup, but with the same physicality that the public loves in this delightful interpreter.

According to the serial adaptation – which differs quite a bit from the books – Penelope in this new adventure intends to get married and Colin wants to help her, to regain the friendship that existed between them. In fact, she is unaware that the girl heard him make fun of her in front of her friends, telling them that she would be the last young woman in the world that she would consider as her bride.

That male bravado costs him dearlybut his kindness leads him to recover lost ground.

As the actors have already declared, there will be no Daphne in these episodes (Phoeve Dynevor) nor her husband (Regè Jean-Page, who closed with the series after the first season which miraculously transformed him from an unknown to one of the most courted in Hollywood).
The second son of the late Viscount Bridgerton, Benedict (Luke Thompson), the priority of the story was “snatched”, but since the series has also been confirmed for a fourth season, its turn could finally come (more likely, instead, we will prefer to focus on Eloise…). The new Viscount, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), instead, he will strengthen his interference with his brothers.
