Bridgerton 4: everything we know so far

Now that the last four episodes of the third season of Bridgerton have arrived on Netflix, fans are rightly wondering what the fate of the Shondaland series will be and whether or not there will be a fourth season. The news is not only that Netflix has renewed it, but also that the creative team is already working on the script. This was revealed by the showrunner of the series Jess Brownell who, in an interview withHollywood Reporter, has revealed some more details, suggesting, between the lines, which of the Bridgertons will be at the center of the new season. «We are working to try to release the seasons more quickly, but it takes eight months to shoot them and then they have to be edited and then dubbed into each language”Brownell said on the red carpet of the London premiere of the new episodes.

«Writing also takes a long time, so we have a two-year rhythm. We are trying to accelerate, but the fourth season will come out at some point in that time frame, ”he added, defining the fourth season of Bridgerton one of his “best works”. «I’m really excited about what we’re writing. We’re almost at the end, and I feel like it’s some of my best work and the best work of my writing team. We have consolidated our collaboration and are giving our best, so I can’t wait for the fans to see what we have in store for them”, concluded Brownell, anticipating, in fact, that Bridgerton 4 will arrive in 2026. But who will be the protagonist of the season?

The hidden clues at the end of the third seem to be going in a very specific direction, and if until recently there was still uncertainty between Eloise (Claudia Jessie) and Benedict (Luke Thompson) it seems very clear that Bridgerton 4 will be on the latter. It is precisely the epilogue that suggests this to us Bridgerton 3, whereas Eloise is preparing to leave for Scotland with Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd), John Stirling (Victor Alli) and Michaela (Masali Baduza), and Benedict tells her he’s not ready to “settle down” yet. “I’ll be there, hiding behind a mask, avoiding suitors like the plague”, the line that fans immediately traced back to Julia Quinn’s novel A gentleman’s proposal, that tells the love story of Benedict and Sophie Beckett. In the book, which is inspired by the story of Cinderella, Benedict meets his future bride during a masquerade ball like the one the character refers to in the finale. There is no confirmation from Netflix yet, but fans always seem to know more than the devil.
