A “Bridgerton” casting director started receiving several unsolicited sexy videos of actors hoping to land a role on the show .
“Every day I get the most unbelievable, unsolicited videos. It’s basically sex, it’s not real sex, but it’s very shocking. It’s not nude images, but it’s not far from it,” said Kelly Valentine Hendry, who is responsible for casting the actors for the Netflix series, in an interview with the podcast Should I Delete That?
She said 90 percent of her email inbox is filled with actors trying to land a role in the period drama, which features racy scenes. According to Hendry, many of them are aiming to play Sophie Beckett, the love interest of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), as per the books that inspired the series.
Although Sophie’s role has not yet been introduced to the public in the series or confirmed by the producers, fans are betting that the next season will focus on Benedict.
“Bridgerton” addresses, based on an adaptation of the books written by author Julia Quinn, the story of the eight Bridgerton siblings, who live in London’s high society during the 1800s.
Each season focuses on one of the family members, although the series has chosen to change the order of the books. So far, Daphne, Antony and Colin Bridgerton have been portrayed, in that order.
