“Bridgerton”: everything about the 3rd season of the series

A new story of “Bridgerton” at Netflix is almost among us. The first part of the third season of series adapted from Julia Quinn's books promises to deepen the characters Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, as they explore a romance beyond the friendship already seen in previous episodes.

The seasons of the series seek to be faithful to the books and trace the stories of each of the eight Bridgerton brothers who seek love and happiness in London's high society.

The first season, released in 2020, addressed Daphne Bridgerton, the oldest among the girls, who is looking for a suitable husband and, above all, one who loves. Her goals, however, clash with those of her older brother Anthony, who has his own opinion about who should win her over.

The second season, released in 2022, focuses on the eldest of the Bridgerton brothers, Anthony, and his journey in search of the “ideal wife”.

Thinking about the launch of the new story, the CNN separated everything you need to know about season 3. Check out!

What is “Bridgerton” Season 3 about?

According to the synopsis already released by Netflix, Penelope will go in search of a husband, preferably one who offers her enough independence to pursue her double life as the great Lady Whistledown.

Meanwhile, Colin returns from his summer travels. He is disheartened to realize that Penelope, the only person who always liked him as he was, is now distant. Bridgerton will then do everything to regain the girl's friendship, while questioning whether her feelings are just friendship.

What complicates things for Penelope is her breakup with Eloise, who has found a new friend, and struggles with her own identity issues.

Season 3 refers to which Julia Quinn book?

The Netflix production is based on the book series “The Bridgertons”, by Julia Quinn. It is worth mentioning that the author's third title is not focused on the story of Penelope and Colin, but rather on the story of Bennedict (Luke Thompson). Jess Brownell, producer of the new season, decided, however, to tackle Quinn's fourth book, titled “The Secrets of Colin Bridgerton”.

Premiere date

Season 3 was divided into two parts. The first will be released on May 16th, while the rest will be released on June 13th.
