Bridgerton: Regé-Jean Page finally sheds light on his return

Seeing Regé-Jean Page walking through the streets of Milan alongside former colleague Jonathan Bailey during fashion week must have awakened a little in everyone the desire to see the Duke of Hastings again in that of Bridgerton. He must have thought that too The Suna newspaper known for making loud blunders but which nevertheless spoke of very secret negotiations between Page and Shondaland to find a way to reappear in the third season of the series, eager to beat the first take – for the record, Bailey told us that he has already read the script for the first and second episodes -. Along with the hopes, however, disappointment almost immediately set in, as Regé-Jean Page took advantage of a snapshot on Instagram to say that no, she has no intention of returning to Bridgerton.

“The boys are back in town”, wrote Page accompanying a photo of him with Bailey in Milan, then adding in brackets: “No, I’m not going back to the series. The newspapers made it up “, the actor pointed out, crumbling the dreams of fans who hoped that the reunion with Bailey would soon migrate into the Bridgertonian nineteenth century. “We talked about each other, since we hadn’t seen each other for some time, in front of a really excellent Italian coffee and in the sun”, commented Page that, in fact, if he had chosen to retrace his steps by agreeing to reappear in Bridgerton he would certainly have made a barbina figure, given that for a year and a half he has been repeating in interviews that he wants to do something else and that he wants to throw himself more and more into the cinema.

Not to mention that, given the temper of Shonda Rhimes, we are not even so sure that he would have accepted to welcome him back with open arms since the actor’s decision led the writers to resort to various expedients to justify the fact of not seeing him again in the new episodes. In Hollywood, we know, the wheel is turning: Page felt it was more appropriate for his career to break away from Bridgerton before it was too late – even if everyone will ask him to account forever for his participation in the series -. He signed, again with Netflix, for the film The Gray Man alongside Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling who we will see on July 13 in streaming and for the cinema adaptation of the famous video game franchise Dungeons and Dragons: if these projects will secure him more fame Bridgertonhowever, it is all to be seen.
