Bridgerton: Will the Duke of Hastings still be in the second season?

The set of the new season of Bridgerton it is heavily armored: the attention of the production not to leak any details on the next episodes is very high, but despite this there are continuous rumors and indiscretions. This is thanks to some of the performers who, luckily for us, love to chat a lot and make the wait for the broadcast more bearable.

Let’s start from Nicola Coughlan that is Penelope Featherington than on Twitter revealed that the new episodes will be full of social events, such as dances and parties, and there will be many more erotic scenes than in the past. He also hinted that his character could have his part in all this since, at least for the moment, he has limited himself to staying in the background trying only to manage, in the best way, his feelings, especially towards Colin Bridgerton.

But the juiciest anticipation – don’t want the other cast members – is about our beloved Duke of Hastings. Phoebe Dynevor, alias Daphne Bridgerton, in an interview explained that his film sweetheart, as well as the father of his son, will not completely disappear in the second season, indeed he will continue to have a fairly important role. “Even if we will be more focused on the relationship that Daphne has with her family – underlined the actress – there will be continuous references to Simon Basset”. Obviously the phrase is quite enigmatic, but a return of the duke cannot be excluded, perhaps through some flashbacks or cameos here and there.

“There aren’t so many series that, like Bridgerton, give the possibility for various characters to have so much space. I believe that every season has the potential to be unique, ”he continued Dynevor. We have no doubts that the new episodes will not leave us with a bad taste, but forgetting the first love is always difficult. We just ask for a few minutes of Simon Basset more. We will see in a while if we have been satisfied or not.
