A few days after announcement of her engagement to Sam Askari and in the midst of a legal dispute with her father over her custody, h Britney Spears deleted her account at Instagram.
According to a source close to the pop star on Page Six, “she is very happy and silence can sometimes send a strong message”. “It was her decision to delete her profile and distance herself from social media by following the bright path that follows her engagement,” adds the same source.
Spears’s lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, also confirmed that it was his client’s choice to take a break from social media. Shortly after the news broke, the singer herself wrote on Twitter: “Don’t worry guys, I’m just taking a short break from social media to celebrate my engagement. I will be back soon”.
