“Bright Star 21”: Multinational Exercise Completed in Alexandria, Egypt – Impressive Images

The multinational interdisciplinary exercise «Bright Star 21», which took place in the greater Alexandria region of Egypt, was completed on September 17.

As announced today, the Armed Forces of Greece, Egypt, the USA, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, Jordan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia participated with personnel and means with observers from Sudan, Morocco, Italy. , Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Tunisia, Spain, Kuwait, Nigeria, Tanzania and Kenya.

As part of the Day of Distinguished Visitors of “Bright Star 21”, on Thursday, September 16, an exercise with aggressive energy and air strikes was held, in the presence of the Deputy Chief of General Staff, Rear Admiral Ioannis Drymousis, as a representative of the Chief GEETHA.

Among other things, the joint training included technical and regular subjects with increasing degree of difficulty in cooperation with means and units of all three branches of the Armed Forces.

In addition, high-level seminars were conducted on drones, interdisciplinary operations, hybrid threats, and crisis management.

The exercise contributed to the increase of the level of operational readiness and combat capability of the participating forces, increasing the interoperability. It also gave the Greek Armed Forces the opportunity to highlight the capabilities they can develop in cooperation with their counterparts in other countries, with the common goal of contributing to maintaining security and stability in the Mediterranean and the wider Middle East.
