Television animated series from the 90s and early 2000s evoke genuine warm feelings. It is difficult to find a person who in those years did not run home from school as soon as possible and did not wake up early on weekends so as not to miss new episodes. However, everything ends sooner or later…
DuckTales (DuckTales, 1987–1990, 0+)
- Kinopoisk: 7.9.
- IMDb: 8.1.
Who does not know Scrooge McDuck – the richest drake in the world? Money was his only love, at least until his nephews Willy, Billy and Dilly moved in with him. The guys constantly find new adventures, and Scrooge himself is not against a variety of adventures. The family has enough ill-wishers: the evil sorceress Magica, the vile brothers Gavs and Flintheart Glomgold. Scrooge and his nephews always rebuff the villains and get away with it.

The animated series ends with a series about the “Golden Goose”. He suddenly comes to life and begins to turn everything he touches into gold. This is a clear reference to the ancient Greek myth of King Midas. As in the legend, the heroes at first rejoice at this turn of events, but soon realize that this threatens with disaster. The whole world can turn into a huge gold bar. The threat can be averted with minimal losses. The episode does not hint at the ending in the history of the duck family.
💡 By the way, in 2017 the continuation of the animated series was released. It was barely stretched out for 3 seasons. The novelty has nothing to do with the original project. The audience was especially upset by the “clumsy” graphics – the characters had square heads, and this was surprising. And the stories in each series were not so interesting.
“Black Cloak” (Darkwing Duck, 1991–1992, 6+)
- Kinopoisk: 7.7.

Right from the house, he enters a secret lair, from where he watches over the city. With his adopted daughter Goose and his faithful assistant Zigzag, he protects the fictional Senkanar from the most dangerous criminals. The animated series is made with a clear reference to Batman and a frank satire of detective novels.

The story of the Black Cloak ends with an unexpected plot twist. In the latest episode of the animated series, the superhero is called to inspect a discouraging find in the city’s museum. This place shocks him – it’s hard not to be surprised when you see your copy. The mysterious find turns out to be the second Black Cloak immured in amber. Wanting to get to the bottom of the truth, the superhero goes to the past.
“Ninja Turtles” (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, 1987–1996, 6+)
- Kinopoisk: 7.9.
- IMDb: 7.9.

Every boy in the nineties was a fan of this animated series. Four restless mutants lived in the sewers of New York. Under the guidance of their sensei Splinter, the brothers were trained in the art of ninja from an early age. The brave four in colorful masks fought the villains, defended the city, and sometimes even prevented catastrophes on a planetary scale. All this was accompanied by witty jokes and love for pepperoni pizza.

The final episode of the animated series about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles demonstrates the absolute victory of the green heroes over the main villains Shredder and Krang, as well as their henchmen Bebop and Rocksteady. In the episode, a new antagonist appears – Lord Dregg. However, the Turtles also fight him. For a complete and unconditional victory, the brothers destroy the Technodrome, which was the main base of the enemies. After that, there were many sequels and rethinking of the story of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – this is exactly the ending of that very series from childhood.

- IMDb: 7.6.

He regularly comes up with crazy business ideas that disturb the peace of the town of Hillwood.

The animated series ends with an episode in which Arnold finds his missing parents’ diaries. Grandparents told their grandson a lot about them, but their stories seemed unrealistic. But then Arnold realizes that it was the pure truth. Later, a full-length film about Arnold was released, where he goes to the place of the last expedition of his parents and finds them there. They find themselves smitten with a strange virus that put them to sleep for a long 10 years. Arnold manages to cure them. In addition to the family reunion, another joyful event happens – Helga and Arnold are now a full-fledged couple.
“The Real Ghostbusters” (The Real Ghostbusters, 1986–1991, 12+)

- IMDb: 7.6.

The animated series is based on the cult film of the same name. Brave scientists studying paranormal phenomena open an agency to combat them. This small but brave detachment protects New York from all sorts of paranormal evil spirits.

In the finale of the animated series, brave hunters fight with the ancient Egyptian deity. It unleashed a huge swarm of giant insects on the city. The team manages to put down the bug uprising and calm down the antagonist. It is a pity that the episode does not display the logical conclusion of the story about the ghost hunters – the series simply ends, and the story ends.
