Britain today announced 41,130 new cases of coronavirus and 205 deaths of patients who had been diagnosed positive up to 28 days earlier.
It should be noted that Tuesday’s report is often higher than other days, as it includes patient deaths over the weekend.
According to official figures from the Ministry of Health, the weekly index for both new infections and deaths is declining compared to those of previous weeks. In particular, the last seven days have seen a reduction of new infections by 17.5% and deaths by 16.1% compared to the previous week.
Britain is among the countries hardest hit by the pandemic with more than 161,000 dead.
