Britain: A policeman threw spoons at a bar employee and was removed from his service

A police officer in London paid dearly for his action of hitting a bar employee, as he was knocked out. The incident took place last July, with the police officer throwing spoons at the worker, because he violated the measures for the coronavirus.

The 28-year-old police officer avoided jail last March after being found guilty of assaulting the officer. The police officer was in the bar with 20 other off-duty colleagues when the officer remarked to them about breaching the coronavirus protection measures.

A heated confrontation ensued, with the officer initially kicking the employee and then the two men were held in arms. The officer, who was removed from duty, was sentenced after a trial to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to perform 80 hours of community service.
