Britain: Ben Wallace withdraws from the battle for the prime minister – He is leaning towards the side of Boris Johnson

THE British Minister Ben Wallace said today that he will not enter the battle to succeed her Liz Truss as Prime Minister of the country and that it tends to support him Boris Johnson.

Following yesterday’s announcement by Tras that she is resigning as Prime Minister after six weeks in this position, the persons who aspire to succeed her are trying to secure the 100 votes from the Conservative MPs required in order to be able to take part in the election process.

“I feel like I can add value to keeping citizens safe, on defense, by being secretary of defense,” Wallace told reporters. “It’s the job I do and it’s the job I intend to do, so I’m not going to run for prime minister this time.”

Trudeau’s predecessor, Boris Johnson, and his former finance minister, Rishi Sunak, are the main potential contenders, although neither has yet officially announced their candidacy.

Asked who he would support, Wallace said: “At the moment, I would lean towards Boris Johnson.”
