Britain: Chaos at Heathrow – Dozens of flights canceled due to polar cold and freezing fog

Polar temperatures prevail in Britain, with the thermometer even reaching -8.4 degrees Celsius. The weather setting has caused the cancellation of dozens of flights at Heathrow Airport.

During the night, the mercury in Heathrow it dropped to -8.4 degrees Celsius. Experts say this is the lowest temperature recorded in the region in the last ten years.

About 80 flights British Airways flights were canceled like other airlines, due to low visibility, and thousands of passengers are experiencing absolute chaos.

The coldest night since 2010

According to meteorologists, it was also the coldest January night since 1987 when records were -9.1 degrees Celsius.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for fog overnight until 11am, covering southern and eastern England as workers battled sub-zero temperatures on Monday morning.
