The British Ministry of Defense has confirmed that it is considering the possibility of sending Challenger 2 tanks to Poland, in order to replace the T-72s that Warsaw will supply to Ukraine.
The BBC had earlier broadcast the news as a decision, but corrected its original report.
The above is in addition to the armored vehicles that the United Kingdom sends directly to Ukraine, as already announced.
The British Minister of Defense Ben Wallace is expected to make a relevant announcement within the day.
The Prime Minister of the UK Boris Johnson, in a press conference from New Delhi, India, noted that the deployment of the tanks reflects the intensification of London military aid to Ukraine.
