Britain: Extensive damage and significant collateral damage in Donbas from Russian bombing

The British Ministry of Defense said today that Russian air activity remains high over the Donbas region of Ukraine, with Russian aircraft striking using guided and unguided ammunition.

“Increased use of unguided munitions has led to widespread destruction of areas in Donbas and has almost certainly caused significant collateral and civilian casualties,” the ministry said in its regular briefing on the war in Ukraine.

The report said Russia had increased its use of air power to support its delayed advance, combining airstrikes and massive artillery attacks to mobilize its firepower as it focused on Donbass.
