The British Minister of Health Matt Hancock submitted his resignation after admitting that he violated the rules of protection from Covid-19 as he hugged and kissed one of his advisors in his office.
Downing Street has released Hancock’s resignation letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
In a letter, he stressed that “the government owes all those who sacrificed so much during the pandemic to be honest when it disappoints them.”
At the same time, he repeated his apology for violating the rules and apologized to his family and relatives.
“Those of us who make these rules have got to stick by them, and that’s why I’ve got to resign”

It is recalled that yesterday, the British newspapers “Sun” and “Daily Mail” posted photos of 42-year-old married British Health Minister Matt Hancock and his also married adviser, Gina Colandangelo. The tender moments were captured last month, inside the ministry, and the two of them seem to hug and kiss passionately, while the posture shows great intimacy.
Following the uproar, Matt Hancock apologized for violating social distance rules (social contact with people outside the family was prohibited at the time the photos were taken), with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to accept his apology and consider the incident over.
