Britain: Liz Truss favorite after Rishi Sunak’s “betrayal” to Boris Johnson

Liz Truss may not have had the best start to the race to succeed him Boris Johnsonbut now circles of the Conservative Party – even people who fought her – consider her to be the favorite for the prime ministership Britain.

The foreign minister initially started with little support among her party, as many considered her “picturesque” to take over the reins of the country. The former Chancellor of the Exchequer had branded Liz Truss’s plans for immediate tax cuts as “comforting fairy tales”, while the Foreign Secretary had called Rishi Sunak a “socialist” whose plans will lead Britain into recession.
