Britain: NATO forces should not take part in battles in Ukraine – It would be ‘existential danger’

British and NATO forces should not play an active role in fighting in Russia, where Russia is invading, Undersecretary of Defense James Heappey said on Friday, adding that the risks in case of miscalculation could be prove to be existential.

“We must all be clear in this House that British and NATO forces must not play an active role in Ukraine,” said Mr Heappey in the House of Commons, the lower house of the British Parliament.

“We all need to be clear about what the risks of a miscalculation might be and how realistic they could be if some people misjudged things and the situation escalated without it being necessary,” he said.
