More than 60% of UK voters believe Brexit has either gone badly or worse than expected. This is the result of an investigation by the newspaper “The Observer” a little less than a year after the withdrawal of Great Britain from the EU, according to a Spiegel article.
A poll by the Opinium polling institute also found that 42% of Britons who voted in favor of leaving in 2016 had a negative view of Brexit.
26% of Brexit supporters said it went worse than expected, while 16% of those who voted for Brexit said they expected things to go wrong and they were right.
Of those who voted in favor of staying in the EU, 86% said it went worse or worse than they expected.
Overall, only 14% of those who voted said that Brexit went better than expected. Earlier, when asked if the Brexit process was going well, most Brexit supporters said “yes” and most Brexit opponents said “no”. But now, more and more Brexit supporters are also saying that things are going badly or at least worse than they expected.
