Britain: Police officer found guilty of raping and kidnapping Sarah Everard

A British police officer has confessed to being raped and abducted Sarah Everard, whose murder had sparked outrage and debate about what police, government and society can do to stop men using violence against women, the BBC reported today, according to APE.

THE Wayne Cousins, 48, A London police officer who is a member of the diplomatic mission has admitted responsibility for Everard’s murder but has not pleaded not guilty or is in the process of obtaining medical advice. BBC, citing his lawyers.

Everard, 33 was abducted on foot from a friendly home in south London on March 3. Her body was later found in a forest just outside London. Her murder sparked outrage from women who spoke of their own experiences and fears of walking alone on the street at night.
