Britain: Russia exploits global food security for its own political purposes

Russia has shown that it is ready to exploit global food security for its own political purposes and then present itself as the rationale and blame the West for the failure, according to the latest information from the UK Ministry of Defense.

“On May 25, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said that Russia was ready to provide a humanitarian corridor for ships carrying food across the Black Sea in exchange for the lifting of sanctions. The minister also called on Ukraine to “demining the area around the port of Odessa to allow the passage of ships,” the ministry said via Twitter.

“Rudenko’s request follows a basic tenet of modern Russian messaging strategy: the introduction of alternative narratives, however unconvincing, to complicate public understanding. In this case, Ukraine has developed naval mines only because of the continuing threat. Russian amphibious attacks from the Black Sea “.
