The British woman passed away at the age of 81 fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, as it became known from her representative through a post on Twitter.

“THE Vivienne Westwood died today, peacefully and surrounded by her family in Clapham, south London. Vivian continued to do the things she loved, until the very end, designing, working on her art, writing her book, and changing the world for the better.

He lived an amazing life. The innovation and its impact over the past 60 years has been enormous and will continue into the future.

Vivian considered herself a Taoist. He wrote “Tao Spiritual System. There has never been a greater need for the Tao than today. Tao gives you a sense of belonging in the world and gives purpose to your life. It gives you such a sense of identity and strength to know that you are living the life you can and therefore should live: use your character to the fullest and make the most of your life on earth.”

The world needs people like Vivian to make a change for the better,” the post reads.

One of her last speeches this year, via video, was on climate change on the occasion of COP27. “Governments are the problem, everything they do is causing climate change,” she said in her riveting speech.

She once dressed up as Margaret Thatcher for a magazine cover and drove a white tank near former Prime Minister David Cameron’s home to protest against fracking.

She also showed her rebellious nature when she received an OBE from the Queen in 1992. She appeared in no underwear – a fact she proved by twirling her skirt for photographers.

“The only reason I’m in fashion is to destroy the word ‘conformity,'” she stated in her biography.
