Britain: Trial of 25-year-old accused of killing MP David Ames in March

The suspect accused of assassination of British MP David Ames, which the police consider a terrorist act, will be tried in March, the British judicial authorities announced today.

At the expense of the 25-year-old Ali Harbi Ali accusations were made yesterday for murder and terrorist preparation actions. He appeared in a video conference today in front of the Old Bailey Criminal Court in London.

Judge Nigel Swiney has scheduled the next preliminary hearing for the November 5 and the date of commencement of the trial on March 7, broadcasts by ΑΠΕ ΜΠΕ.

It is recalled that David Ames, a 69-year-old Conservative MP and father of five, was stabbed to death in October 15, while talking to voters at a Methodist church in Le Hague, about 60 miles (60 km) east of London.

His death shook the country, bearing in mind the murder of the bulletin of Labor Joe Cox in June 2016 by an extreme right-winger.

Arrested at the crime scene, the accused was born and raised in London in a family of Somali nationality. According to British media, he had watched one for a short time anti-radicalization program, without being considered dangerous by the security authorities.
