Moscow and London are discussing a possible visit by the British Foreign Secretary to Moscow on February 10, RIA Novosti reported, citing Russian Foreign Ministry sources on Monday, amid diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis over Ukraine.
Western powers, according to Reuters, are worried that Russia may invade its smallest, former Soviet “neighbor”.
Moscow denies any such plans, but calls for security guarantees, including a commitment that Ukraine will never join NATO.
Within the day, French President Emanuel Macron will fly to Moscowto discuss with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin ways to ease tensions over the Ukrainian.
