British tourist trapped in a pit that he dug on in Copacabana – dramatic images from rescue

Moments of anxiety unfolded at the iconic Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when a British tourist was trapped in the middle in wet sand on the bottom of a pit he had dug. According to the Daily Mail, the 22 -year -old airport worker, Jensen Sturgeon, was trying to dig as as deeply as he could on the well -known beach when he arrived at a point where he was sprinkled, with Lakkos collapsing and trapping him. In a video captured by the incident, more than 30 people, including bathers, retailers and lifeguards, seem to try to unleash him. Some dug on him, while others gave him wood and ropes to pull him out, with no result. According to eyewitnesses, the rescue lasted more than three hours.
