Britney Spears changes her name, deletes her Instagram, and fans call the police

the fans of Britney Spears became concerned for the singer when they realized she had deleted her Instagram account and called the police to check on her status.

According to the tabloid TMZa spokesperson for the Ventura Sheriff’s Office reported that on Tuesday night (24), police received several calls asking them to check on Britney Spears’ well-being.

Around 11 pm (local time), the police went to the singer’s home in Thousand Oaks (California, United States) and determined that there was no reason to believe that she was at risk. It is not known, however, whether they spoke directly to the artist or someone else.

Still according to the TMZ, sources close to Spears reported the artist’s irritation with the behavior of fans when involving the police. According to friends, she understands the concern, but was angry about the situation.

It all happened a few weeks after she was recorded in a restaurant with “manic behavior”, according to witnesses who were at the scene.

Reports claim that Sam Asghari, the singer’s husband, would have gotten angry and left, leaving her alone. The next day, Ashgari took to Instagram to ask Internet users not to “believe what people say online”.

Shortly before deleting her Instagram account, the voice of “Toxic” shared a video stating that she had changed her name to River Red. “I changed my name to River Red… By the way, don’t underestimate the power of purity,” she said.

This is not the first time that Britney Spears has deleted the account on the social network. The last time was in October 2022, after exchanging “barbs” with family members on the platform.

Britney Spears, recently “released” from her father’s 13-year guardianship, has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She claimed during the trial at Court that she was held in a mental health facility against her will and forced to take medication.

Mental health and family feuds also took a toll on her relationship with her sons Jayden, 16, and Sean, 17, who live with their father Kevin Federline. In August 2022, the singer’s ex-husband revealed to The Daily Mailthat the children decided not to see their mother for months.
