Bruce Lee: New theory about his death – Did he die from too much water?

Almost 50 years after his death Bruce Lee, scientists claim to have identified the real cause of his death at the age of 32. The martial arts and film legend breathed his last in the summer of 1973 in Hong Kong.

An autopsy performed at the time attributed death to swelling of the brain, said to have been caused by taking a painkiller.

At the same time, however, there were many rumors surrounding what caused his death. But now, a new theory is coming which states that Bruce Lee died from too much water.

As the Clinical Kidney Journal experts report, Bruce Lee died of hyponatremia. “In other words, he died of too much water. We believe that his kidneys could not excrete the excessive amount of water and this killed Bruce Lee, as this leads the cells to swell, including those of the brain“, the report emphasizes.

The research claims that Bruce Lee drank large amounts of water due to the use of cannabis, which causes an increase in thirst, while his kidney function was affected by drug and alcohol use.
