Bruce Willis, how is he: the rare public appearance as his health conditions worsen

Bruce Willis made a very rare appearance in Los Angeles. The sixty-eight-year-old actor, as revealed by the Daily Mail, was spotted in the passenger seat of his car – I’m wearing a black sweatshirt – while someone behind the wheel, most likely a family member, accompanied him on his way a tour around his villa. Since being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, the Hollywood star is hardly seen in public anymore. But despite this new appearance, the situation remains dramatic: his conditions, as revealed by multiple sources, are worsening.

Just a few weeks ago Glenn Gordon Caronauthor and director, after visiting his friend he said bitterly to the New York Post: «He is losing the ability to speak. He has lost the joy of living. I had the feeling that I only understood who I was for the first three minutes». Dramatic words confirmed by what was revealed to Closer, a few days ago, from an insider: Willis would no longer be able to recognize his ex-wife Demi Moore, with whom he had three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, and with whom he remained on excellent terms after the divorce. So much so that she was the first to spread the news of the actor’s illness and his retirement from the stage via social media. In recent months «Demi has always remained in contact with Bruce’s second wife, Emma Hemingbut she didn’t know that her ex-husband had gotten so bad».

Despite such a difficult moment, Emma Heming, who gave Bruce two other daughters, Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9, is trying to stay strong: «I have much more hope today than I did when he received his first diagnosis», the former model revealed to the site Sunday Paper. Explaining that if she feels stronger it is because she has learned about the frontotemporal dementia that her husband struggles with. A disease that causes progressive cognitive deteriorationas well as aphasia, personality changes, mood swings and a slowing of movements.

«Today I know much more and I am connected to aincredible community that supports me a lot”, explained the 45-year-old. «I have new hope because I know I found a new one purpose, and I want to use this opportunity to help and empower others. When I talk about what my family is going through I know I have the attention of the press. And I also know that there are thousands of stories that go untold and unheard, and which deserve the same pity and concern.” It is also a way to to move on, as Heming reiterated by sharing a post on social media: «Frontotemporal dementia does not offer many options. It can suck all the air out of a room. But I made a choice, take back some power and put oxygen back into our livesfor the sake of our daughters, Bruce and myself.”
