Brutal crime in the USA: She killed her neighbor because her children were bothering her

An American woman was arrested in Florida USAfour days after she shot and killed her neighbor following an argument, police said.

Susan Lorings is charged with negligent homicide and faces up to 30 years in prison, the county sheriff’s office said Marionwho delayed arresting her because of a controversial law in effect in that state of USA.

On Friday night the 58-year-old woman killed her Agike Owens35 years old, after a long-standing dispute between the two women regarding the latter’s four children.

That day her children Owens they were playing at a venue near Lorings’ home in Ocala. According to an eyewitness, the 58-year-old shouted at the children and then threw a skate towards them, which hit one of the boys. His 12-year-old brother rang Lorins’ doorbell, who chased after him with an umbrella.

When the 12-year-old told his mother what happened, she in turn went to the 58-year-old’s house, knocked on her door and asked her to come out. Instead, Lorins fired at Owen through the door of her home. THE 35 years old he was fatally shot in the chest before his eyes of her 10-year-old son.

However, it took four days before she was arrested Lorinsas he invoked the “Stand your ground” law, which allows someone to use deadly force when faced with imminent danger, even if there is another way to avoid it.

The 58-year-old claimed that her neighbor tried to force her way into her home and that he had assaulted her in the past.

After gathering testimony, surveillance images and other evidence, “investigators concluded that Lorins’ actions were not justified under applicable law.”

Her family’s lawyers Owenswhich they were asking from her Friday the arrest of the 58-year-old, they said they were “relieved”. “We were no less concerned that it took so long for her to be held responsible,” complained the Ben Crump and Anthony Thomas.

Because of the same law it had been delayed to prosecute him 80 year old in Missouriwho in April shot and killed an African-American teenager who accidentally rang his doorbell, the lawyers recalled, calling for “the repeal” of these “antiquated laws.”
