A case of premeditated murder, with the victim Lesia Bykova, 28 years old, from Ukraine, is being investigated by the Police, after the body of a woman was found in the area of ​​Petra tou Romiou, last Saturday morning, March 11, 2023. Members of the Police went to the scene which they blocked off, while for the recovery of the woman’s body, members of the Fire Service and a helicopter of the Police Air Operations Unit were called. As it was established, the body belongs to Lesia Bykova, 28 years old from Ukraine, a resident of Pafos.

At the scene, examinations were carried out by the Police, as well as an autopsy by a medical examiner.

The 30-year-old, who was present during the exams he submitted to a drug and breathalyzer test, with positive indicationswhile various items of evidence were obtained from tests carried out on his car.

Yesterday, March 12, the autopsy on the body of the 28-year-old woman was carried out at the mortuary of the Nicosia General Hospital. From the findings of the autopsy, suspicions were raised that the victim’s death was the result of a criminal act.

Therefore, a judicial arrest warrant was issued against the 30-year-old, pursuant to which he was arrested and detained to facilitate investigations.
