BTA: Zelensky asks for ‘any kind of help’ Bulgaria can provide to Ukraine

Bulgarian Prime Minister Kirill Petkov told reporters today that he had spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky over the weekend and that he had asked for any help.

The Bulgarian Prime Minister said that Zelensky had asked him to assist in talks with the European Union on Ukraine’s accession to the EU. The Ukrainian President thanked him for the assistance provided so far by the Bulgarian government together with the Bulgarian Red Cross. that is, for medicines and trucks carrying humanitarian aid. Zelensky also thanked the Bulgarian government for its support to mothers and infants arriving from Ukraine and for setting up a mechanism to continue providing it even if the number of people leaving to escape the war increases.

Petkov said that in his talks with Zelensky he expressed his gratitude to Kiev and called for more help, of any kind.
