Jin 31, K-Pop star and member of BTS carried the Olympic torch in Paris this Sunday (14), representing South Korea. The singer counted on the company of his fans, who accompanied him during the journey.
“K-pop superstar singer Jin from the boy group BTS carried the Olympic flame in Paris. The fans were there!” the official X, formerly the Twitter account, of the Olympic Games wrote as it shared a video of the moment.
In June of this year, the singer and composer was exempted from mandatory military service after completing his contribution period.
The Paris flame was lit in Olympia, Greece – the birthplace of the ancient Olympics – in April. The flame, which has since travelled in relays, will light the Olympic cauldron to mark the opening of the Paris Olympic Games.
It is estimated that the torch will be carried by around 10,000 bearers until it reaches its destination on July 26, where it will remain lit until the Closing Ceremony, two weeks later, on August 11.
