South Korean boy band BTS will release their new album “Proof” this Friday (10), in a highly anticipated return to the music scene to celebrate the ninth anniversary of its debut, which takes place this month.
A track from the new album, “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” had over 17.8 million views on YouTube in less than two days.
The seven-piece group last year became the first Asian band to win Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards. Last week, they met with US President Joe Biden at the White House to discuss hate crimes against Asians.
The band made their debut on June 13, 2013 and since then has been leading a global K-pop craze with lyrics and social campaigns aimed at empowering young people.
Last November, BTS took the stage for the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, with a concert in Los Angeles. In March, BTS returned to their home country with three concerts in Seoul.
