Tensions between Meghan Markle and the British royal family are not about to abate. As CNN reported on Monday March 15, Buckingham Palace decided to hire an outside law firm to investigate allegations that the Duchess of Sussex intimidated some royal staff.
The palace said the law firm would investigate after a British media report, released in early March, cited royal assistants having filed a complaint against Meghan Markle in 2018. At issue, two senior officials have claimed to have been intimidated by Prince Harry’s wife while another staff member said he was “humiliated”.
‘Our commitment to look into the circumstances surrounding the allegations of former Duke and Duchess of Sussex staff is coming to fruition, but we will not be making a public comment on it,’ a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said , quoted by the American channel, Monday March 15. For its part, the princely couple did not comment on the announcement of this investigation, but its spokesperson had already rejected these accusations of intimidation, calling them “defamatory”.

These investigations come as the British royal family faces a major crisis, following the shattering statements of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their interview with Oprah Winfrey on March 7.
